1) Lateral Acceleration Sensor Calibration
What it does
- Sets the zero reference for side-to-side (lateral) acceleration
- Ensures proper ESC/ABS intervention during cornering
When it is required
- After sensor replacement
- After suspension or chassis work
- After ECU replacement
Conditions
- Vehicle on a level surface
- No active stability/ABS faults
- Stable battery voltage
2) Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration
What it does
- Calibrates the forward/backward acceleration baseline
- Ensures correct ABS braking and traction control logic
When it is required
- After sensor or ECU replacement
- After major suspension or geometry changes
- When incorrect deceleration values are detected
Conditions
- Vehicle stationary, on level ground
- No wheel speed or brake faults present
3) Pressure Sensor Calibration
What it does
- Resets hydraulic brake pressure reference values inside the ABS/ESC unit
- Ensures accurate pressure readings for ABS modulation
When it is required
- After hydraulic system repairs
- After ABS unit or pressure sensor replacement
- When pressure-related faults are stored
Conditions
- Brake system properly bled
- No active hydraulic faults
- Ignition ON, engine OFF unless specified
What it does
- Sets the neutral yaw (rotation) reference for stability control
- Ensures correct ESC intervention during skids or rapid maneuvers
When it is required
- After sensor replacement
- After accident repairs affecting body alignment
- After ECU replacement
Conditions
- Vehicle on level, stable ground
- No movement during calibration
- Battery voltage stable
