PODS Reset

What it does

• Resets and recalibrates the Passive Occupancy Detection System (PODS)
• Ensures correct detection of occupant presence and weight

When it is required

• After replacing the front passenger seat or sensor mat
• After PODS sensor replacement

Conditions that must be met

• Seat properly installed and secured
• Seat cushion and sensor mat connected correctly
• No active airbag fault codes
• Ignition ON, engine OFF
• Stable battery voltage
• Vehicle on level ground

What happens during the reset

• ECU clears old PODS adaptation values
• Measures sensor signals at rest
• Stores baseline reference for:
• Occupancy detection
• Weight classification
• Verifies proper sensor operation
