ESP Driving Test Activation

What it does

• Activates the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) driving test mode
• Allows diagnostics to monitor system behavior under controlled driving conditions
• Disables certain interventions to collect accurate data

When it is required

• During ESP system diagnostics
• For troubleshooting ABS, traction control, or stability issues
• When performing calibration or functional tests on sensors and actuators

Conditions that must be met

• Vehicle on level ground or test track
• Ignition ON, engine running
• All doors closed
• Stable battery voltage
• No active critical ABS/ESP fault codes

What happens during activation

• ESP system enters test mode
• Traction and stability interventions may be limited
• Live data logging is enabled:
• Wheel speeds
• Yaw rate
• Lateral acceleration
• Brake pressure

If procedure is not performed

• ESP diagnostics may be incomplete
• Sensor or actuator faults may go undetected
• Calibration or functional checks cannot be completed

After activation

• Perform prescribed driving maneuvers
• Monitor ESP and ABS data in live diagnostics
• Exit driving test mode via diagnostic tool
• Confirm normal ESP operation and warning lights
