What it does
- Activates a mode for navigation and driver assistance systems optimized for touring
- Adjusts system behavior to local traffic rules and conditions
- May modify speed warnings, lane assist, or audio/infotainment settings for travel
When it is required
- Before long-distance travel in unfamiliar regions
- When driving in a foreign country with different traffic regulations
- When temporary system adaptation is needed for comfort or safety
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary or in safe mode (as instructed)
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Navigation and driver assistance systems operational
What happens during activation
- Vehicle systems adjust settings for travel:
- Speed warning thresholds
- Lane keeping sensitivity
- Navigation routing preferences
- Temporary parameters stored until deactivation
If mode is not activated
- Vehicle systems remain in standard configuration
- Speed alerts or lane assist may not match local regulations
- No effect on safety, only comfort and guidance
After activation
- Monitor navigation and driver assistance behavior
- Deactivate Tourist Mode when returning to normal driving environment
- Confirm settings return to default if needed
