What it does
- Learns and calibrates the type and position of the windshield
- Optimizes automatic systems such as rain sensor, wipers, and ADAS cameras
- Ensures correct sensor readings and system operation
When it is required
- After windshield replacement
- After rain sensor or camera replacement
- When wipers or automatic features behave incorrectly
- After recalibration of driver assistance systems
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON
- Windshield clean and unobstructed
- Stable battery voltage
- No active related fault codes
What happens during learning
- Rain sensor and camera detect reference points on the windshield
- Control unit stores windshield type and position data
- Systems adjusted for:
- Wiper sweep range
- Rain detection sensitivity
- Camera alignment for ADAS functions
If learning is not performed
- Wipers may operate incorrectly
- Automatic headlight or rain functions may fail
- ADAS camera features may be inaccurate
- Fault codes or warnings may remain
After learning
- Test wiper automatic function
- Verify rain/light sensor operation
- Check ADAS camera calibration if applicable
- Confirm smooth and correct system operation
