Peugeot Citroen Gearbox Calibration
Supported coding features by PSACOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/psacom
What it does
- Calibrates gearbox control parameters after service or repair
- Synchronizes gearbox actuators, sensors, and control unit
- Restores smooth gear shifting and correct clutch operation
When it is required
- After gearbox replacement or repair
- After gearbox control unit (TCU) replacement
- After clutch replacement (robotized / automatic gearboxes)
- When shifting is harsh, delayed, or incorrect
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary on level ground
- Gear selector in neutral or park (as required)
- Ignition ON, engine OFF or running (as instructed)
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
What happens during calibration
- Gearbox actuators move through all gear positions
- Clutch engagement and release points are learned
- ECU stores reference values for:
- Gear positions
- Shift timing
- Clutch bite point (if applicable)
If calibration is not performed
- Harsh or incorrect gear shifts
- Clutch slipping or judder
- Gearbox fault codes may remain active
- Reduced driving comfort and component lifespan
After calibration
- Perform test drive following relearning procedure
- Verify smooth gear changes in all modes
- Check live data for correct gearbox status
- Clear any related fault codes
