What it does
- Calibrates the front camera used for driver assistance systems
- Ensures correct lane detection, traffic sign recognition, and assistance functions
- Aligns camera reference values with vehicle geometry
When it is required
- After front camera replacement
- After windshield replacement
- After front-end body repairs or collision
- When driver assistance system warnings are displayed
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary on level ground
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- Calibration target or defined environment per manufacturer specification
What happens during calibration
- Camera alignment and reference values are learned
- Control unit verifies camera position and orientation
- Driver assistance systems are synchronized
- Calibration status is stored
If calibration is not performed
- Driver assistance systems may not function correctly
- Lane keeping or traffic sign recognition errors
- Warning messages or fault codes remain active
After calibration
- Verify camera status in live data
