Porsche Fuel System Bleeding
Supported coding features by PoCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/pocom
What it does
- Removes air from the fuel system
- Ensures correct fuel pressure and stable engine operation
- Protects high-pressure fuel components from damage
When it is required
- After replacing fuel filter
- After fuel pump or fuel line replacement
- After running the fuel system empty
- When hard starting or unstable idle occurs
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON (engine OFF, unless instructed otherwise)
- Stable battery voltage
- Sufficient fuel level
- Diagnostic tool connected
What happens during bleeding
- Electric fuel pump is activated via diagnostic command
- Air is purged from fuel lines
- Fuel pressure is stabilized
- ECU monitors pressure and flow
If bleeding is not performed
- Engine may not start or may stall
- Irregular fuel pressure
- Increased wear of fuel system components
- Fault codes may be stored
After bleeding
- Start engine and check for smooth operation
- Verify fuel pressure in live data
- Check for fuel leaks
- Clear fault codes if present
