Supported coding features by PoCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/pocom
What it does
- Drains and refills the transfer case (PTU) with fresh oil
- Ensures proper lubrication of gears and bearings
- Maintains smooth operation of AWD or 4WD drivetrain
When it is required
- As part of scheduled maintenance
- After extended service intervals or severe driving conditions
- After repair or replacement of transfer case components
- When fluid contamination or leaks are detected
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary and level
- Engine OFF
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected (if required for adaptation)
- Correct transfer case fluid available
What happens during oil change
- Old fluid is drained from transfer case
- System cleaned if necessary
- New fluid is filled to correct level
- Some models may require electronic adaptation to recognize new fluid level
If oil change is not performed
- Increased wear of gears and bearings
- Overheating or abnormal noise
- Reduced drivetrain efficiency
- Possible transfer case damage
After oil change
- Verify fluid level in live data
- Check for leaks around seals and drain/fill plugs
- Test vehicle for smooth operation of AWD/4WD
- Clear any related fault codes
