Renault Nissan Throttle Limits Programming
Supported coding features by RenCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/rencom
What it does
- Programs and adapts the throttle body limits
- Ensures proper throttle opening and closing range
- Synchronizes throttle response with ECU and accelerator pedal input
- Improves engine performance, drivability, and emissions control
When it is required
- After throttle body replacement
- After ECU replacement or software update
- When throttle response is incorrect or limp mode is active
- After cleaning or mechanical repair of throttle system
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON (engine OFF unless specified)
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- No unresolved critical engine faults
What happens during programming
- Throttle end stops and reference positions are learned
- ECU stores new throttle limits
- Accelerator pedal and throttle communication is verified
- Fault codes related to previous throttle adaptation are cleared
If programming is not performed
- Incorrect throttle response or hesitation
- Engine may enter limp mode
- Fault codes or warning lights may remain
- Reduced engine performance or drivability issues
After programming
- Verify throttle operation in live data
- Test engine response under various loads
- Clear any remaining fault codes
- Confirm normal engine operation and pedal-throttle synchronization
